The Office for National Security Accountability Launches Website
OTTAWA – The Office for National Security Accountability (ONSAC) today launched its official Website at www.onsac.ca. The Website will serve as a public window on developments in the Canadian national security envelope, with updates on issues in the news and on government action.
ONSAC was founded in October, 2007, by Derek Lee, M.P. to provide a Parliament-based monitoring mechanism for matters of national security. The companion Website will provide wide-ranging resources to the public in a centralized online location. The Site will include links to published reports and a chronology of Canada’s national security efforts since World War II.
“It is my hope that the public will find the ONSAC Website a useful tool in understanding the Parliamentary perspective on national security matters, and where we are heading in this era of heightened awareness of issues in the portfolio,” said Mr. Lee.
